My  Passion for photography is inspired  by  Nature. The search for amazing stand out images has been a life long journey that has led me to the west coast , Northern california, and the  meeting  of a Native  American  Medicine man Charlie Thom Red Hawk.  Charlie  was the real deal  from the Karuk Tribe , he was raised in the  marble mountains by his grand parents , I  met charlie  at a sweat lodge cermony in  New Paltz  N Y.  after  anumber of years traveling charlie decided to stay on the west coast at his home   in Fort Jones Califorina.  I went  hiking into the high country of the Marble mountain  wildwerness. ,  led by Charlie where   we built  a  purfication sweat lodge  and he   showed us  sacred prayer rocks,   after that journey in to the high country  I  returned every summer for14 years,  pryor to all that:

I worked for 11 years in {1978-1989} NYC for AD-LINK,  a  black and white photo labin the heart of mid town, "The Diamond District". I worked as a black and white printer, contact printing and enlarging, contact proofs, and prints 5x7 to 20x24.I converted color slides to black and white, I  did studio work using a 8x10 view camera. After being laid off, I then worked in the black and white darkroom of a place called C and R. in Hackensack NJ. We did restoration of old photos. That was a two year gig. Then I worked for a portrait company called Lorstan taking high school portraits. Fun stuff, we had our own camera and lighting set up. I am a musician and have run 15 marathons. I studied Tai CHI at the TAIChi Farm for four years and also studied African Drumming, with master drummer Koffi Donker,I have photographed weddings, musicians, Native American indians, art work, and landscapes.

NEW CHANGES: I just added a NEW gallery - OLD SCHOOL BLACK AND WHITE. These are prints I made when I was working in NYC. Done the traditional way ,yes in the dark, with 3 trays and a safe light!
